Movie operator. Graduated from Cinematography Departament at Film School in Lodz (1977); then a lecturer
at his mother university (since 2006 professor of movie
arts at Lodz Film School), and since 2005 – school’s dean.

He started at camera operator in movies by Piotr
Szulkin (‘Oczy urocze’, 1976) [‘Charming Eyes’, 1976],
Krzysztof Kieslowski (‘Spokój’, 1976) [‘Tranquility’, 1976]
and Grzegorz Krolikiewicz (‘Tańczący Jastrząb’, 1977)
[‘Dancing hawk’, 1977].

Autor of photography for
over 40 documentary movies and several feature films, among them by Piotr Andrzejew (‘Klincz’, 1979)
